What is the Texas Viking Festival?

The Texas Viking Festival is a celebration of music, entertainment, food and friendship and is held during two weekends in September and then again in December near the time of the Fall Equinox and Winter Solstices, respectively.

The Fall Equinox event, is a nighttime festival with live music, craft vendors / shopping, food, games, entertainment, and camping. Stay throughout the night and gather around the drum circle.

Winter Solstice

The Winter Solstice event, known as the Yuletide Festival (or Yule), is held over the second and third weekends in December and is a daytime event. Like Equinox, there will be live music, craft vendors / shopping, food, games, entertainment, and camping! We also add special appearances by Krampus, competition, Highland Games, full-contact combat championships, mounted archery and European Martial Arts demonstrations, horseback rides, and so much more! This time of year is normally cold and as a result guest and our performers are dressed in many layers and furs. It’s like being in a movie.
